This 2026 Midwestern States Flowers + Insects Calendar features hand-drawn state flowers paired with insects found throughout the region, illustrated by Nikki May Clean layouts, strong color and illustrations that feel familiar without being predictable.
Printed at 11x17 inches with silver wire binding, each monthly page transitions easily into an 11x11 art print once the month ends.
WHY I MADE THIS
The Midwest gets overlooked in design a lot. That didn’t sit right with me.
This calendar is about honoring the beauty of everyday landscapes and the insects and plants that thrive there. Steady, resilient and worth a closer look.
This calendar is my way of slowing down and paying attention to the details most people overlook. Also, I wanted a calendar I wouldn’t immediately want to throw away at the end of the year. Mission accomplished.
Printed at 11x17 inches with clean, vibrant color and a silver wire binding, every monthly page can be trimmed down into an 11x11 art print when the year is done. Yes, I planned that on purpose.
